Win A free
Fly Rod Combo!
This month Fly Fishing Manitoba is presenting a quiz to win a Martin, Canyon Creek fly combo, courtesy of The Fishin’ Hole, a subscription to The Fishin’ Line magazine, courtesy of this magazine and a selection of hand tied flys courtesy of Fly Fishing Manitoba. With this gear in your hands you are almost set to do some fly fishing. To go with that is a free casting lesson.
The quiz is designed as an ‘open book’ style test. You can access what ever resources you have to get the right answers. The point of the quiz is to have you do some research and learn more about this great sport. The tie breaker will be the final question, which is more of a request. A little story or essay that you think sums up your thoughts on fishing and what it means to you.
The quiz is open to anyone but we would prefer if only those truly interested in fly fishing and who also do not already have a fly rod.
The Quiz:
1. What is the earliest known written reference to fly fishing?
2. What is the earliest know English language written record of fly fishing?

There is not going to be to firm a date for contest closing but we would like to give the package away before April.
